New Fabrics and Fairs

Lots of wonderful new fabrics have been added to the website recently. These are just a few of them.

I am attending a lot of vintage and textile fairs this year, which is great for me as I get to meet more of you. Keep an eye on my sidebar for fair dates.

Press

We have had some more great press. Firstly an article in October's Sew Hip magazine all about the website.


Then, much to my amazement, I found that we had been included in Cath Kidston's new and wonderful book 'Sew' as a handy address. What an accolade!

Open House

The Open House was wonderful. Lots of lovely people came from far and near, bought goodies, ate yummy cakes and chatted to the other lovely people. I love having these events. Once the hard work of preparing them is over I just sit back and watch it all happen, bliss!

Autumn Open House

Yes folks it's that time again. A 3 day Open House has been planned for 1st, 2nd and 3rd October 2009 10 am - 4pm. Tea, coffee and yummy cakes will be served in the kitchen to refresh you after a rummage.

All welcome so bring a friend (or two) and come and say hi.

Sew Magazine

I have a lovely feature in this month's Sew magazine, titled 'My Sewing Room'. Sew magazine is a relatively new one, this is issue 3 and I have been very impressed with it so far. There is a pattern attached to the front of every issue. This month's is for a vintage tea dress and there is lots of vintage stuff inside too. I am definitely going to make the dress, from vintage fabric of course!

Fabric Piles

One thing I love to do is to make piles of fabrics. I love the way they look together all piled up. This week I had to take some photos for an upcoming article in the new magazine 'Sew'. Here are those plus a few more that I found in my archives. Delicious!

Poundbury Talent for Textiles Fair

At the end of May I had a stall at the Talent for Textiles fair in Poundbury, Dorchester. It was a great day and so wonderful to see so many of you there.
